Sid Selvidge and Amy Speace play at Folk Alliance Conference -2010

Even a music town like Memphis seldom has this many music makers in town at the same time. The 23rd Folk Alliance Conference convenes today at the Downtown Marriott, and runs until Sunday, February 20. There will be over 2000 attenendees, with over 50 workshops addressing music business and the preservation of folk and traditional music and dance. An exhibit hall features 100 exhibitors. There are 200 official juried performances, and over 300 private showcases.

While the artist showcases and programs are mostly members only events, the music kicks off tonight with public showcases featuring some of Memphis’ best.

Joe knows Midtown! We loved working with him from the start--he's truly a professional but breaks everything down for you. While preparing our house for the market, he was patient with us and worked out a strategy for us. Once we left town, he took care of everything--it was complete piece of mind. The result?
