I should have known this would happen.  I attended the meeting of the NAR MLS Committee and posted regarding the MIBOR labeling Google as a “scraper” site. I knew when I posted that the unanimous vote of the committee was subject to the whims vote fo the Powerful (and slow moving) National Association of Realtors Board of Directors.
The Board chose to send it back to the committee for “further study” , according to NAR’s Realtor Magazine Blog, Speaking of Real Estate. In the discuss at the Board meetings a NAR director from Indianapolis (where this mess started) made the suggestion, since the committee was already reviewing the IDX policy, which was first implemented in 2002.
This delays any action by at least 6 months, when the committee and board of directors meet again.
Agent Genius’ post on the issue is an interesting read. If you are a Realtor, I suggest you go there or to NAR’s blog and let your thoughts be known!
