“Under all is the Land.” So begins the preamble to the REALTOR® Code of Ethics. “All” is not just buildings-real estate, but infrastructure, parks and public lands, and People. While I titled this blog Memphis Real Estate, I want to go beyond that seemingly limiting title with future posts that deal with the people, places, events, politics, talents and embarrassments of this place where I have spent the majority of my life.
There are thousands of real estate blogs, the vast majority offering real estate listings, local information, agent self- promotions, and generic real estate information in the form of consumer Tips. There is plenty of that “consumer” content available on the Web. One of the most popular platforms with REATORS® is ActiveRain, where contributors are awarded points and higher search positions for quantity (not quality) of posts. My point is, there is plenty of generic real estate information out there. Most listings are posted in 3-25 public real estate web portals, so it is not really hard to find properties if you are looking for them. I want to focus this blog on Memphis, while taking my real estate only content to a new Blog I am developing.
You may want to check the dynamic elements in the right column: my Twitter updates and Shared Items from a wide variety of news sources for the most up to date information on what I am doing and the items I am reading that seem relevant to our life in Memphis.
