As a REALTOR, I have mixed feelings about Zillow and a good deal of the data it disseminates. Whether we real estate professionals like it or not, it is gaining on realtor.com as a consumer portal for real estate information. Not quite like realtor.com, but still a repository of a vast amount of data, and who doesn’t like data? In this world of Web 2.0, i am not whether data really has to be factual, or, if there is a definition for factual anymore.
So, for what’s its worth, here is a link to Zillow’s Quarterly Home Value Report (July-Sept., 2007). Lots of data on the MSAs, including Memphis Metropolitan – a very interesting spreadsheet.
