The Memphis Area Association of Realtors has released residential sales data for September and year to date 2016. Data is from recorded deeds in Shelby, Fayette, and Tipton Counties. You can download the full report HERE.
Sales are up!
September unit sales were up 11.4% over 2015, with YTD sales ahead by 8.1% for a total of 13,511 units sold. Median and average prices continue to edge up at a healthy rate.
Neighborhood sales remain strong with Downtown leading my service areas with 17.8% increase in unit sales over 2015 and around 6% increase in media and average sales year to date. East Memphis outpaced Midtown in sales increase -12.4% vs. 6.4%, but Midtown’s median price increased by 10%. Download the report for stats for your neighborhood.
